Every year, one million people all over the world die because they smoked cigarettes.
Smoking causes cancer of the lungs, mouth, bladder, and kidneys. Cigarettes contain a
tar that coats the lungs tiny hairs that sweep out dirt and germs. Smokers have to
cough a lot to remove dirt from their lungs. Even those who are near smokers and who
inhale the smoke can be seriously damaged by this second hand smoke.
