When choosing what food to serve you may want to do an inventory of what your guests favourite foods are - a couple of phone calls to friends will give you a better idea. Some of the more popular choices are: pizza, chicken, pretzels, chips, cheese, chocolates. It is important to bear in mind that a lot of platters are known for transfering germs, etc. so you might want to use more, but smaller platters, as well as keep them in the fridge until it is time for them to be served. Furthermore, cold foods should be served cold, and hot foods should be served hot. Last of all, have lots of cleaning napkins that guests may use to clean hands and faces and let guests know where the kitchen and bathroom are - at least two areas where they may get cleaned up. Locations are usually given while taking guest coats to a coat room.
