Achievements

Many achievements (eg scientific, mathematical) have been attributed to Europeons for a number of reasons. However, an in depth analysis reveals that some of these achievements may have originated in India at earlier dates. It is difficult to determine 'who invented what', but there can be no doubt that India played a significant role in the development of science and mathematics. For instance, the decimal system may have originated in India. Futhermore, the concept of nothing or zero may have also had its 'significant beginning' in India. With respect to astronomy (eg the earth, its size, shape and gravity), there were religious thinkers/priests who took a closer look at these concepts and through temples, transferred ideas throughout generations.

In summary, India has played in significant part in scientific and mathematical inventions and this notion has been skewed by some Europeons and Westerners. However, let's not be naive about who invented what, because the evidence is limited and inventions of many different cultures are not always put forth in written or picture form.
